Bed & Breakfast at Lesquite

Our lovely rooms at Lesquite are well-appointed, with en-suite bathrooms with large shower trays, colour television with remote control, hospitality trays for hot drinks, and central heating. All bedrooms have views over the garden to the countryside beyond.

To enhance your stay, our rooms include soft fluffy towels, a range of toiletries, and our refreshment trays include some Fair Trade products.

Wake up to the sound of birds singing, and the wonderful aroma of breakfast cooking. The bed and breakfast tariff includes a full Cornish breakfast, cereals and muesli, fresh fruit or yogurt, traditional cooked fare, including our own hens’ eggs, toast and home-made preserves (the current favourite is marrow and ginger).

Bedroom One at Lesquite
Bedroom One

This bedroom consists of a modern iron bedstead and one of our comfy mattresses. The bed has a special quilt made in Cornwall and called "As Time Goes By", for which we chose the colours and the quilting pattern.

The room looks out over the gardens, and has 3 chestnut trees planted in its lawn, one is a sweet chestnut and the other two are horse chestnuts to provide conkers for generations to come!!

Bedroom Two at Lesquite
Bedroom Two

Bedroom two has a hand made oak bed, made with Cornish oak from St Germans. Once again the bed has a locally made quilt.

There are two windows overlooking the steep lawn, the heather beds and up over the fields.

Bedroom Three at Lesquite
Bedroom Three

This room is the twin bedroom, with beds that can be linked to make a large double. Again there are very comfortable beds and an old pine wardrobe apparently from Eastern Europe, which has a little hidden drawer in the bottom.

The room has dual aspect windows overlooking the steep lawn and orchard.

The Breakfast Room at Lesquite
The Breakfast Room

The breakfast room has french doors onto a sunny patio overlooking our woodlands, which is a haven for wildlife in all its' forms. The french windows are open on sunny mornings and the scent of the flowers comes in - as does a bold cock pheasant especially if he wants breakfast.

The Sitting Room

The sitting room is part of the original cottage and has a woodburner and a selection of books and magazines which you are welcome to borrow. The hall, which is possibly the oldest part of the house has beams which are reputedly from the 17th Century.
